...on being Gramma

It's kinda hard to explain the joy a new little grandbaby brings to ones life. Especially when you're Gramma for the first time. It's not only the "baby-ness" of it- because that, of course, is wonderful, it's much more than that. It's seeing your children be a parent and love their child as you loved them. I'm pretty sure no one understands that love completely, until they are a parent themselves. But yet it's even so much more than that. It's experiencing God's covenant promise to His children in a very real way. That promise of His faithfulness from generation to generation. That promise given to Abraham that He would one day send a Savior to free us from the bondage of our sin. He didn't have to. But He did... for Abraham.... for King David.... for my great-grandfather.... for my Dad....for me... for Peter, Steven and Stacy and for my grandbabies. Oh what a promise! One I know He has kept and will keep.
